If you own a 360 that is modified with the xtreme firmware, DO NOT download the spring xbox live update!!!!!!!!!!! Microsoft has discovered a way to detect it and you will be banned!!!!!!! commodore4eva has released a patched version, version 5.3, that patches the hole that ms found. It is now available via the "usual places", so download and install it first before downloading the spring update! I know robs is, but he isn't online, so yeah, make sure you tell all your buddies.

yeah, I got a research paper to work on today, so I won't be updating my drive til tomorrow, but until then, my 360's on the workbench to prevent any accidental upgrades :P

I hate it how microsoft has such good updates and there online is like 10x better than sony. Sony they have like Download things in the XMB.
But sony has free online.

Hey this is relating to the xbox 1 and I was wondering if you all could help me out:

I have tried to ftp 20 times now and all tries have failed.

This is what I get:

Please advise on what I should do. I am using a crossover cable for sure and I am using a laptop. Am I supposed to disable WiFi on the laptop when I connect to xbox? I don't know please help!! Oh and I have an EvoX dashboard. One more thing sometimes under network settings EvoX says "No Connection!" even though the cable is physically connected.

yup chinese, the malicious update and the messenger update are one in the same. I won't be buying the little keyboard, I just ganked a usb keyboard off an old imac from work for 360 usages, works perfectly. and to the dude with the xbox issue. make sure you have static IP addresses set up on both the xbox and the laptop if you're using a crossover. also make sure they have the same subnet. I hate evox's ftp server, I get much better speed and stability from the ftp server in xbmc, which is what I use for a dashboard anyways since they came out with the mc360 skin :P
