    downloaded the demo today and god do i suck at it. i find it near impossible to make any of the turns perfectly, even when slowing to like 40 mph. i dunno how people get good at it, i guess it's realistic but it's not fun for me, yet.

    update: i finally finished in first place with a 2002 honda. i found out that the fords are absolutely shitty at turning.

    yeah, forza is one of the more realistic racing games. You'll probably find racing in manual transmission super hard if you don't know much about turning/rounding corners in RL racing-type scenarios. One thing i like about forza is that it simulates drifting pretty nicely.
    is it just me, or do newbies ALWAYS have the worst fucking grammar and spelling known to man?!

    best advice i can give you is drive a RWD car and enter corners on the ouside curb, brake hard and cut in so you ride the curb on the inside of the curb and come out on the outside of the other side of the corner. this is called a "apex" aka, the fastest line. it requires a lil experementing on how fast to enter a corner to get it right. RWD cars are better since they are nimble and turn in quicker. thats called oversteer... it turns TOO much. FWD cars suffer from understeer... or they dont turn fast enough. theres alot to know about car handling and driving dynamics, but the basics are there. one very important piece of advice i can give you: brake BEFORE you turn in. otherwise youll slide instead of grip

    apex= peak of the turn. Or the most inside point your reach in your line, before accelerating through the exit taking the outside.

    well.... i'd also recommending learning a bit about your car (torque, weight, handling, etc.) as well as getting good at the game with orthodox driving styles. Personally, I just drift alot in forza games.     ive been playing the demo for a while now, and ive pretty much mastered forza. i dont really dont see how people arent doing that well, but i guess racing games come easy to me.

    my favorite is drifting in gran turismo 4.

    no idea if there is a demo for the PC. 360 is where it's at. but ya i've started to get good at it. i just wasn't braking into a turn and accelerating out of it correctly at first. which just causes the car to skid out.

    if you're on a RWD, try approaching a turn, put on the clutch and go down to something like second gear. Rev your engine to around 4000 rpm and start steering in the opposite direction of the turn. Immediatley after, cut back into the turn and pop the clutch (which will cause the rear wheels to spin). Now you've basically lost traction, but with some control. Until you hit a straight or another turn, keep on accelerating but keep control of the steering wheel and you'll slide through the entire turn, or even drift a chain of turns.

    hard to learn, but fun to do
