    Hey guys!
Long time no thread making for me, huh?
Well I'm back. Just requesting some suggestions on headphones.
What I'm looking for is really good headphones. Ok, not amazing headphones that are $200+. I did, however, buy some Bose OE TriPod headphones about three weeks ago. They were amazing, yes. Everything I asked for, really. Good bass, some sound cancellation, crisp sounds, everything. However, they came with a hefty price tag: ~$200(Tax included). I wanted to make sure they were perfect. So I kept the receipt and al the packaging close by and in good condition just incase.
However, the headphones put some pressure on my ears for the somewhat noise cancellation and it put a lot of discomfort on my ears. The first time I put them on I didn't even notice because I was so excited. But then after about thirty minutes of listening to them, I noticed it, and it hurt my ears. So I was hesitant as to wether I should bring them back or not.

    ---------Side story--------
I know this is way off-topic, but I also have a problem. I may have tinnitus. To those of you who don't know what it is, I'll spare you the trip of looking at google to see what it means It basically mean youjust hear conistent high pitched sounds. Normally when theres NO external sound; like at night. Its not really loud, but it can be at times. This is recent, about two months. But it hasn't really worried me much till now. I don't know for sure its tinnitus or not, or if my ears are really dirty deep inside, or what. I've been meaning to go to the doctor but never have. If any of who could let me know if you guys have this, or know anything of it, please let me know!
    ----------Back to the story------

I ended up bringing them back because I didnt like the pressure on my ears. So I'm leaving for my yearly trip to Belgium for two weeks and want a good pair of headphones for the plane ride. So all I'm asking for is good quality, decent bass, crisp sounds, some noise cancellation. If you guys could give me some suggestions, that would be great!
    Thanks guys.

    -JR

Definitely Sennheiser. I have the PXC 250 headphones. They might look cheap, but they are amazing and incredibly portable.

    EDIT: Here's a link Sennheiser USA - PXC250 - Product Details

I only paid 70$ for them, and I'm very happy with my purchase. Best phones I've every bought.

Well, I don't know if I have the same thing you have, but sometimes in complete silence, I hear a very, very high-pitched noise, and it just seems that when I hear it in a room with other people in it, they can't hear it.
Ima test if my cats can hear it...they have a better hearing spectrum...

EDIT: For those that are calling this complete BS, fine. Believe what you want. It just may be me or my hearing is just a tiny bit above the regular human hearing spectrum...

I sometimes get it too. Like really light in sound intensity, but very high pitched. Even though it's high pitched, it sounds mellow to me for some reason though.

Yup, I agree, Sennheiser is the way to go if you want some quality headphones...

Matrix, you only paid $70 for them?Where. I'd like to look further more into these headphones.

And for those of you who get the high pitched sounds: It seems like its a common thing then? But I'm not sure, because the more I think about it, the louder it gets, so with me its also with my mind. I dont know, I guess its not very alarming then, because hearing high pitched sounds is the first sign of hearing loss. But, who knows.

Earbuds. Never suited me. Don't know what it is about them, maybe because they kill my ears! Haha, Everyone has a different opinion about them, guess mine just sways the other way.
