    Now no one probably cares but I wanted to explain my eating habit to see what everyone thinks.I call it "eating to survive" meaning that I will only eat when im hungry and will eat the required amount of food to survive the day without gaining or losing weight.I thought this habit worked very well in the fact that I have never been a pound overweight or underweight and have gotten a "Healthy" report from my yearly checkups.Also I have never had to go on a diet or exercise to stay healthy I only do that if I want to gain muscle.Now heres the problem I realized that doing this type of habit made me only have to have my 3 meals a day and about 1 snack.Therefore now that I have been doing a good amount of work and requireing more energy those meals are essential meaning they would have to be a "Healthy" bf,lunch and dinner.Well the problem arised when I had two days of unhealthy dinners causing me to get sick from a lack of nutritions and vitamins that were needed after a long day of work.This has questioned my eating habits and has lead me to ask what you think,ARE MY HABITS GOOD OR BAD?Heres the stats for my habit:

    Pros:
    *Healthy weight
    *Never obese
    *Can eat almost anything(depends on metabolism i guess too)
    *Dont have to exercise since the amount of weight gets lost from daily routines(walking up stairs,running everywhere and carrying shit)
    *Dont need to buy alot of food
    Cons:
    *Food doesnt have to be healthy so can hurt health in the end
    *Can not get proper daily nutrients and needed vitamins
    *If you dont want to exercise the weight will probably drop(I wouldnt know I exercise everyday)
    *Can get sick if not done responsibly

    You should take a daily vitamin. That will help you with how you eat.

    yea but id forget lmao still that would help but you think the habit is effective cause i have never even came close to being overweight.

    Well its effective but you need to compensate for your work. More carbs or whatever. Just find the right combination and you wont be sick from working or poor nutrition.

    i dont see a problem. Your eating healthy just try to avoid eating unhealthy at least once a week and get more healthy snacks.

    ive kept a steady weight of 95lbs by exercising regulary and being active. i eat just about anything with the exception of fast food, and i take a daily vitamin as well as drink plenty of milk.

    you need to excercise haloboy...no matter how much you eat or what you eat....without excericse your body will not be able to fight off viruses and other germs as it would if you did about 45 min of cardio 5 days a week

    oh trust me i get plenty of exercise a day also im surprised i thought this thread was gonna bomb because its kind of personal but I guess no one thinks its much of a deal.

    I was told by a friend of mine who is a personal trainer that this diet doesn't work. he went into detail with me, but alot of it was jargon to me. I've been following this diet myself for months, and i can't say i've lost any kind of weight what-so-ever... I'll eat once in the morning and once during work...

    Haloboy,
    when you only eat when you need to...you most likely dont eat all the vitamins and minerals that your body needs...meaning you will be prone to diseases...like madhatter said, eat a multivitamin or have a more balanced diet.



    BTW this is yet another health thread...maybe a health section is in order...i mean a PSP is healthy right? Best way to run with your psp etc...just a thought

    Now I have to say that diets are different for everyone. I lose weight when I only eat once or twice, but only if I dont eat breakfast and I'm fine all day.

    I have been the same weight for over 12 years now. (Since freshman yesr of high school). I get regular excercise and eat fairly healthy. My fiancee is vegetarian and she cooks alot and packs me a lunch everyday for work (which is great because if not I'd eat more fast food for lunches which would be very unhealthy). I only eat fast food about twice a month. We go out to dinner about twice a week but its usually restraunt food and not fast food. I also take vitamens. I quit smoking cigarettes (I smoked for 8 years) over a year ago. Quitting smoking, eating well and excersize have all made me feel like I am in great shape right now.

    really no snacks i cant wait 4-5 hours in between each meal without something small.
