Hello. My landline phone appears to be busted, and for the time being rather than buying one I thought since i have a modem on my laptop I could use this as it has a built in mic and hooked up to some decent speakers.

Having problem though, google search only seems to be finding me VOIP options. I did find YAC (yet another caller id) wich does show the caller id when people call but no option to answer.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

yea i am not lookin for VOIP option. I just wanna plug my phone line into my modem and use my laptop as my phone.

I have found a caller id that works, shows when people calls and who they are, i just need something to answer the call.

Yea, i do have a cell phone but i also would like to use my landline for when i am home to not waste minutes. But for the time being at least i can see when someone calls on my home and then i can call with my cell

I believe "Express Dial Telephone Dialer" does out-going and in-coming calls.
