You mean Dan Brown?

I'm actually reading some Mark Twain, the life and times of Tom Sawyer. I love the way how he used his imagery through everyday life. I mean it's you typical 10 year old kids, being jealous, dreaming of running away, and of course pranks .

The last book I read was about 4 months ago, and that was Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Operation Baracuda I loved that book.
As geeky as it sounds, I enjoyed that book since it reminded me of the game.

Also, I enjoyed Lawrence Block's Hit Man. As the title says, it's the life of a hitman (though not related to the known "Hitman" game series). It was stunning.

Any titles along that line that someone can recommend me?

It's not too bad, it can get funny...

Lets see, I read The Great Gatsby, which wasn't very interesting to me... It wasn't bad or anything, but I couldn't really get into the story.
And now I'm reading Othello, which is awesome. I've read other stuff, and it kind of turned me off to Shakespeare, but I really like Othello. It makes me want to read more.
Anyone else have a favorite Shakespeare play or anything. I'm thinking about adding a play to my list.
That's all school stuff though.

Personally, I've been needing to read more, and it sucks because my list of books to read just keeps getting longer (like the Shakespeare thing), and I can't get to B&N at all...

I really liked Othello when I read it two years ago.

Hamlet isn't a bad play at all, you should check it out.

If you want to read some more high-brow literature, check out Cormac McCarthy or Don Delillo. Both of which my english teacher (and my father, whom is a professor at University of Houston downtown) consider them to be the next authors that will be canonized in the next decades.

"White Noise" by Dellillo

"Blood Meridian", "Outer Dark", "No Country for Old Men", and "The Road" are great stuff my McCarthy, the latter two are easier reads that will get you into his style of writing. Blood Meridian is a very tough read...lots of violence, massacres, and slayings.

Haha, I've been wanting to read No Country for Old Men for a while now, my english teacher recommended it to me, and I still haven't read it.
I should really get on that.
But I didn't know anything about his other books, or that he was such a good writer. But Blood Meridian sounds really cool, but I guess I'll need to read No Country at least to get to know his style.

Also, I've heard about DeLillo. He wrote Underworld, didn't he? I was told that it was a really good book, but from what I read about it, it didn't sound like it'd be interesting. Kind of turned me off to him.
But White Noise looks like it'd be interesting...

...looks like I've got six more things to read...

McCarthy's most famous works are Blood Meridian, Sutree, All the Pretty Horses (which turned into a movie because of the popularity of the book), No Country for Old Men (because of the movie), and The Road (because of the Oprah club). Well, at least that is what I've gathered from my limited knowledge on McCarthy.

He has been called the next Faulkner (popularity-wise), and will become so in the next twenty years, I can guarantee it .
