It said "the system is not compatible or something press 'O'" could have been an update (I know i'm an idiot) but i pressed and then it just went to a black screen.

I can enter the recovery mode and mess with the settings but nothing seems to help.

I have also tried changing memory crads but to no avail.

    Any ideas?

well if you can go into recovery mode then try recovery mode.
download recovery mode- Send big files the easy way with sendspace. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!
    Instructions
*Place folder in (PSP/GAME/RECOVERY) for Going back to 1.50 from any SE or OE firmware PSP
    ok now
*turn PSP off (hold power switch for at least 10 sec)
*Turn PSP back on while holding "R" (you will get a Purple or Baby Blue Screen for 3.03oe-c screen this is the recovery main menu)
*Toggle the USB connectivity.(enable it) now transfer the recovery Folder to (if you haven't already) PSP/GAME/ after copying that Disable the USB
*Select the 3rd option " Run Program at PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP" 6. Read the agreement, and follow the instructions
Best of luck to you. and you will have 1.50 soon

Thanks for your help chaps no touch wood I havent bricked my PS3, just my PSP.

Right, I installed the recovery folder and on comes the PSP again -yay-

However the same screen that appeared when I connected to my PS3 comes on again, blue screen in lot's of languages saying:

"Setting information is corrupted. Press the O button to repair and restore default settings."

Pressed O last time and semi-bricked...but none of the other buttons are responsive...ok here goes.....-yay- it worked! Thanks a lot Chinese People, I now have a fully working PSP 1.50 again.

That's the last time I let the Sony products play together.

    Ta ra

Yeah all seems fine, my back up ISOs are all still working, i'm on 3.4 at the mo'

However i am getting a failure when i try to check settings it says internal error (8008271D) and crashes out to the blue screen that says the same thing as before.

Strange as the rest of the PSP's functions seem to be fine.

Any ideas? and no i didnt connect it to my PS3 again, i'm scared now...
