Get a dvd burning program, if you want to play the dvd via a dvd player it needs to convert it into the correct dvd ntcs (or pal if in europe) format..

Programs such as nero, convertxtodvd, or google a free burning program, can do this for you.

Lol I can't tell you yes or no, if you're going to burn a lot of dvd's then yes, if no then it was a waste then.

No, unless you didn't already have DVD Burning capabilities.
For DVD's though, DVD Flick is one of the easiest and best burning apps out.
It's simple and no frills, yet it will convert almost any video type you have, and create the ISO, and burn the ISO...

Yes, you can burn .mp4's and other files/formats to a DVD. You'll be able to then use that DVD in your computer.

But, if you're looking to be able to use the DVD with a DVD player, such as a PS3/Xbox/any commercial player, you'll need to use one of those applications to make the DVD format compatible with a DVD player, then you can mount the remaining ISO image to a DVD via that new DVD burner you just bought. Doing so will enable you to use said DVD with any commercial DVD player.

Dvd flick is bad, I just burnt halloween, and it said done after taking 1h 30minutes and I hit ok then I closed the program and the dvd wasn't even burnt and I now have the dvd video ts and audio ts not iso and dvd flick cannot recognize it. lol..

edit: didn't realize you need to set the settings up and hit "use as default" it's set to pal, and don't save the iso, and don't burn, on installation, so you need to set it to NTCS and save iso and burn after converting.

I use MagicISO/Nero 6 for all my DVD burning needs and backups. Easy stuff and runs fine.
