Rap is horrible.

Some of their videos are soo "LOW" they are like filmed in GUETTOS and the entire poor community is shown in the video while they rap and with guetto cars. That cannot be forgotten.

LIke.. CAn you rappers have a bit more of QUALITY??? STYLE?? and BRAIN filming a damn video.... I feel sorry for them for having such a caveman way of thinking.\ and more for the people that actually DRESS like them and LIKE what they do.. Thats people I hate..........

Rappers don't care.
Their videos are all about them, wearing their "ice" and their "bling" and their "grillz" and flashing cash at the camera.
There's just a format for any rap video, and they all seem to follow it to the letter.
The format seems to be:
1. A shot of somebody usually looking in the mirror, or walking around a house, kind of slowly, not doing anything.
2. Exiting the house, equipped with "ice" and other ghetto-style accouterments, hands flying like they're trying to slice the air. Walking the streets of a ghetto, or "the hood."
3. More aggressive air-slicing. Guy and his "krew" are slouched in a position resembling being seated on an invisible bar-stool. Grabbing, and displaying the "blang" around his neck. "Blang" is either: A. A dollar sign with bedazzled diamonds, B. A marijuana leaf with bedazzled diamonds, or C. A golden car hood ornament, with or without the Bedazzler treatment.
4. Zoomed in angle of the rappers teeth, overly smiling - displaying "grillz." Grillz display something stupid - usually the rappers "non-slave name" or rapper nickname.
5. Overzealous crotch-grabbing session. Commonly featuring a whole group of people grabbing their crotches in unison.
6. Driving in a car with hydraulics. Four or so people. The rapper sits in the back, or passenger seat while he raps.
7. Back to a random setting, featuring parts 3 through 5.
8. More driving.
9. Walking around in the ghetto-area. Closing the rap song.

And, that's basically any and every rap video there ever was...

thats the majority of todays 1 hit wonder rappers, but the few good ones are totally different. ex. lupe fiasco. one of the best lyricists but he dosent degrade women in any way, hardly swears, and does none of the above. now whats this rock/death metal, thats better? screaming into a mic in a voice noone understands so you can just say anything and dosent have to make sense in any way.

easy killer. it has nothing to do with that. just because the majority of people here don't like rap doesn't mean you have to mud sling about music you don't understand. they are right. as you stated yourself, "1 hit wonder" rappers and the other shit on mtv is just that. however one could bring to the table bands such as wu tang clan and the fugees for being decent well thought out music, albeit in a genre i don't really appreciate.

i have been playing and singing death/black metal for 15 years. we don't sing this way so people can't understand us. on the contrary i want people to be able to understand me, so they can all hear me telling them to fuck off.

I do like Dr.Dre, because the beat and the sound is amazing. He's an actual rapper that I can respect.
There are only a few others worth liking.

As for all that metal stuff. I hate pig-squealing, and I hate all those "As I Lay Dying" and "See You Next Tuesday" bands.
Every song sound the same, and every song sounds like shit.

I like techno, and I like classic rock, and psychedelic rock.
Techno, or at least good techno, isn't the stuff you hear pumping out of a Hollister. It's all stuff that has a meaning, and that actually says something.
The lyrics say something. What's great is that those lyrics are all poetry(/esque). Saying something as complex as how society works, and the way the world feeds off of people. To something as simple as the beauty of a blade of grass.
And the same goes for classic rock. The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Stones, Led Zepp, The Who, Rush, all are actually saying something. Philosophical lyrics, and complex beats. These guys said what they wanted to say about the world, and actually acted on it too. It's all got a deeper meaning...
