Looks pretty good. I prefer lighter laptops (mainly because I do my gaming on my desktop,) but for an all-in-one, the midsizes are very good.

The Wireless N is a plus, if you have the router for it.....

The only thing that stinks is that it doesn't seem to have a dedicated video card (which means it's not going to be really solid for gaming....)

All-in-all, though, it's a really good package for the price....

Yeah I wanted to get an Nvidia (forgot which model), but that only came with an AMD processor which my mother's tech support guy at her office said was unmanageable, so she refused to buy one of those. Yeah because I don't travel too often I decided that I would get a mid-sized laptop rather than a really light-weight notebook that would be more expensive. So. What games should I get?

Pretty good as far as mid-sized laptops go. Without a discrete graphics card, though, you probably can't do intense gaming and stuff.

Myself, I prefer lighter ones (~12"). Carting around even a mid-sized laptop on trips is a pain on the back.

Grrr, I HATE 15" laptops. They are too big to be portable. But as long as you opk with the size, it's quite good.

Haha. Yeah this is my first laptop. I'm satisfied with the 15.4" though, besides it's only like what, six pounds and it's not like I'm going to take it on trips that make it so hard to carry around. I'm not a big traveler. I'm really excited though. I want to get Age of Empires III because I loved the first two when I was younger. I also want a garageband like application for Windows that I could use since it has a microphone and web-cam built in, any suggestions?

Get Hellgate: London. That game is awesome. Crysis is a good one,and the orange box.

I would definitely recommend The Orange Box, and Bioshock, but Crysis, imo, is too much for even most high-end laptops, unless they're meant for gaming, since my desktop right now can't run it much higher than half-medium, half-high...

EDIT:, btw, looking back, AMD really isn't that bad, I mean, I'm an intel guy, but I don't know why that guy would think they're "unmanageable..."

    Wow.

For $850, that's an amazing deal, especially for a laptop.

I like it, I would go buy one if I had the money.

I don't see why everyone is complaining about it being too big, it's only 6 pounds -_-.

Yeah that's what I said but my mom was hellbent on the fact that her techy said that. So I didn't argue.
    Bioshock looks cool though.

I've had to wander around lost in San Francisco (airport and city) with the laptop on my backpack along with some clothes, etc. When you've been walking around for more than an hour, every little pound counts.
