I cant view the video says something about you giving permission.

But try doing a system restore.

    1. Go to start/all programs/accesories/system tools/system restore.
Follow the onscreen instructions select a restore point.

If you have your xp install cd pop that in and boot up. When its going through all the stuff at the beginning you should see and option for Automated System Recovery. Try that out. I've not had much luck with it but im sure its there for a reason.
    Very funny....not.

The only thing i can think that you could do is manage to get an xp cd and a ubuntu cd, boot into the cd, save important stuff to a thumb drive then reinstall windows. If you cant boot into anything its really hard to know what the problem is. I fell your pain though, i killed my computer and was out for a whole day once. It sucked.

that error arises from a Video card error or a Bios battery going bad.

Replace the battery in your pc. YOu can get one at radio shack. And Go into your bios set up and set up load up defaults.

If not try and get a XP CD to do a restore

If he cant go into windows he can't do a system restore, use some logic.

Learn something about windows before you talk smack,

You can do the Restore by booting of the XP CD (if he can get one) Theres no need to go into Windows

Set the PC boot bios to boot from CD ROM.

    Select Repair
Do a Fixboot and a Fixmbr
