Pandora's Battery and or Lumines (for new fat owners) are not the only way to downgrade.. I'm sick of it, there are other options. I hate when I see someone with 2.71, or 2.80 or 2.81/3.03 and you got some slim or new fat owner or slim owner saying "ya yull need like pandora's battery lol!111". Do some research, just because you had to do it doesn't mean that's the only option.

Hehe yeah, I totally agree with you. The worst part is that I saw some old PSPMod members doing the same thing!

This is totally contradicting to everything I have read reguarding this issue. I have a psp slim with 3.71 and im trying to get m33 installed on it. Just to make sure I dont brick it i've read countless posts and all claim that I need a Pandoras battery, where did you find this info, I tried a search but was unsuccessful, thanks.

anything over 3.5 and you need a pandoras battery - anything underneat you either need GTA LCS unpatched or Lumines unpatched - go to the guides section under firmware it says there

pokey is right, you need Pandora for any firmware over 3.50. But for anything BELOW, there are several options. Here is a list:

I totally agree with you Bacon. I've been seeing alot of this happening lately where noobs try to direct other noobs to false/inaccurate information.

There are many other stuff that came out before the Pandora era so before you point somebody in a direction look shit up first.
If you search you'll never have to ask questions again! GOOGLE

CB im sorry for suggesting it but thats the method i used to downgrade a while ago and it doesnt involve worrying about motherboard types and frankly i did not see the real need to make a thread on this

This is not directed towards you, do not be sorry, I saw your post with a bunch of others and it just set me off, I'm calm now though after I got home from work. But it does deserve to be made a thread. Think of it like this.

If you could fix your car without spending money wouldn't you? Same thing, why would they want to spend money on a pandora or lumines if they could just downgrade without it.

can't you just open your UMD drive and have a look - if it says the text you know you have a certain type of motherboard?

Lol, if they can't do that then there is little chance that they know which wire to cut to Pandorize their battery. :P

not to contradict cb or anyone else, but sure there are a lot of different ways to dg old school fw's that's fine. But even when someone brings me an older psp for a DG, for the safety of their psp it's better to stick to stability.
2.00 to 1.50 dg... the only free dg that a total newb can run blindfolded.
    2.60 unpatched gta dg
    3.03 unpatched gta dg
    3.50 lumines dg
    PANDORA
I know what you mean about the blind leading the blind, but it's not a bad dg, so at least it's not bad advice.
I don't mind straight people so long as they act gay in public...
