I restarted my computer and it just never went back on, a solid amber light is on where the green light should be. I did everything, and I mean everything... This includes; screaming at the freaking hindu's at dell, taking apart my computer, and even waiting... The only thing that may help is that when ever i touch the moniter it says that it is in sleep mode. Can someone please help me??

that's really vague man, take some pics of the inside, and post em, and also, try and right a lot more, because that is so unspecific, hence the word vague

There is nothing more to write, it just happened. On the computers power button it is usually green, now it is a solid amber color. The inside of the computer looks fine along with everything else. The fan spins on the computer and everything is working, it just won't turn on.

Sounds like your PSU died, typically that is what happens when not enough power can power the unit. Since you more then likely have a ATX mobo, getting a cheap PSU shoudln't be a problem to test it. Only problem is, it's a DELL and DELL is one of those vendors that is proprietary " Have parts made just for them " also more then likely there was a underpowered PSU in the DELL typically they are like 200 - 250 watts, which really isnt that much, especially if you have alot of external devices running off the USB which also draws power.

yea man, the usb ports each output a max of 6 volts, depending on how many devices you had plugged in, if any, or how many internal modifications you made ( graphics card, harddrive, ram upgrades) thinks along those lines, then yea, you just need to find a cheap psu, maybe, 60 bucks? I'm not too sure, just get one that can withstand more "wear and tear"

OK, thank you for all the replies and help. I spoke to DELL again, and have come to the conclusion that I will never buy there products ever again. I spoke to someone with an extremly heavy accent, but after an hour they decided that my motherboard was fried. Therefore they will be replacing it no charge because it is covered in there 1 year warrenty. They will be sending someone over on Thursday
