I made xp look like gnome.
What now, fool?
One of the things I hate about vista is the way it looks. My Windows XP is setup with "windows classic" settings, looks more like 95/98, simpler and faster. No bubble gum to slow down my processes.
Vista was a flop anyway, there is strong evidence appearing that MS is looking to dump it asap. - Google Windows 7.
xp to mac look alike is the best. flyakite OS or something like that.

yea flyakite is dangerous, just stick with themes skinned like osx and your ok

i actually like the way vista looks, but it is a bit heavy on the gpu.
I hope they go with something more streamlined for vienna.

I used to use bricopack, Vistainspirat 2, my computer looked just like Vista, but I got rid of it cause it took up a good amount of space.

uxtheme.dll
It doesnt do any transparecy fx though because xp want designed to handle that. Windowblinds does transparency very well though.
a dll? What would you inject it into? Or am I just thinking of something else...

I used flyakite and object dock and it was great, but I don't have much ram so it was pretty slow...
No, it's a file located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\uxtheme.dll
Google for the patched version of whatever SP you're running, and you can just drop the patched right on in.
Then you can use all the glorious themes you'd ever want.
