I have been wondering about this for quite some time now. What is the penalty for a Minor when he leaves the state of California during probation. The offense was a felony but was charged as a Misdemeanor.

I believe normally when you break part of a probation sentence the full punishment can be reinstated..so depending on what the person did it could mean jail time.

I see, does it depend upon the state or is the Rules Of Probation similiar in every state?

Damn, When you become 18 and return to the state, will the record stay in the state? Like if you get a job will the record show up. Or go to a college?

I've been out of state for over 2 years. I didn't even tell my Probation officer i was leaving. If I ask him now, There is a chance they might come here and get me.

I just wanted to know if im able to return back in the future.

I have gone back but for like a week just to visit family. Of course the Probation Officer have contacted me before. But they told me to contact them if i ever return. Of course i don't think im going to tell them if i return just to visit. But if i stay there for good im guessing like DFS says, theyll slap probation on me again.

    howe0822 is right.... also it
depends are you on supervised or unsupervised probabtion?

if your suped, then why even take a chance just tell your p.o,
9 times out of 10 he/she wont trip!
just let em know your intent, departure and arrival plans.

if you decide to flee probation, that is a felony in ca. az. and nv.
if you want to relocate just transfer your probation.

take it from someone who fled probabtion in 1990, i was 19 when i left, after wich, i got married and had 3 kids, a good job (i had/have a nice life) i thought ca forgot about me.

well in 2005, i was pulled over and arrested for a warrant issued in 1990 my life was interupted while i served 13 months.

my point is dont take anything lightly when it comes to legal issues, it can come back to haunt you!

    just my 2ยข, peace!
