Well vista sucks donkey d1ck. Anything you can do on XP is half a$$ed on vista. Trust me ive used both and am stuck on a crappy vista pc here with the only net access till i make it home to my xp pc. Waite in time you will see replys agreeing with me.

It all depends on your hardware configuration. If you have something that is basically just for the internet then Vista would be your choice. If you need it for creating mods, iso/cso files, or just running emulators then XP would be your choice. I am currently running both OSs on two separate computers. But don't quote me on this it's just from my personal experience.

Xp dose all this just as good. Almost anything you do in vista the OS goes into secure mode and you must give it permission to do such things as even changing the date/time. Its one of the worts if not the worts windows ever made. Its full of shit if you ask me. XP all the way.

I like xp 2 there are less things that keep you from doing things cause anything that can affect the system reqires a password on vista. Buuuut vista is much more fancy looking or has better support of things then xp so still vista top dog

it really depends on what you want to use your computer for. Vista isnt nearly as bad as people say it is, they are all just sheep who follow the "vista sux" trend without taking time to get used to the OS.
    Very funny....not.

    Nope, you're wrong.

Vista's great if you have a good PC. DX10 and a great UI. The only thing really bad about it is that it's a resource hog.

If you take a few minutes to turn off some of tyhe billion services vista has running then you will save yourself a ton of ram space and cpu cycles. I had vista running fairly smooth on a 1.8ghz P4 with 768mb ram. Yeah, it got bogged down a little when i tried to do anything intense, but for the most part it was solid. When i reformat my windows partition (dont plan on it any time soon but it will inevitably need to be done) i will probably go with 64bit vista. I only ever use windows for games so i'll strip the daylights out of the install and make it run real smooth.
    Very funny....not.
