Sorry if this is old news, I did have a check to see if anyone else had written about it.

A few days ago, A site released an emulator for the PS3 which allows you to play NES games on it.

It works flawlessly, apart from no sound, which, while annoying sometimes doesn't outrule the awesomeness of playing NES games through your PS3!

    Heres how to get it:

    1. Download the file from this link: File Details-PS3-Filer-v0.0.3-PlayStation-3 -

2.Extract the the AVCHD folder in the compressed file to the main root of a USB device or memory stick

3.Place the roms you would like to play into the AVCHD you have just extracted to the root

4.Go to the Video section in the XMB on your PS3

5.You will need to click the USB or memory stick you have chosen

    6.Select the BD-J homebrew game

7.Next, you will be brought to a file viewer in which, you may choose roms.

8.Now the game will start. Press the triangle button then go to the numeric pad

9.The 1 on the pad stands for select and the 2 acts as start

10.You may now press triangle and enjoy the game

Yeah, I head about this a while back. It plays just fine, but it doesn't have any sound.

Its not really anything sony didnt expect. From what i understand, the emulator is nothing more than a flash game and sony allows flash junk to be played in the video section of the XMB.
    Very funny....not.

the point is its an actual working emulator.ability to play any nes rom

you can do almost anything with java,so this is actually a pretty good concept.it actually runs as a bd-j.sony didnt expect things to be made as a bluray disc format i imagine.

as I recall. back in the day that I was really deep into emulation. there was somebody a long time ago planning on making a flash NES emulator. so they can play it online. well I dropped off the emulation band wagon before he would have been able to finish it. does anybody know if it exist?

    could this be it?
