Time for a history lesson :P

After the American Revolution we still did not have a concrete government. States ruled themselves, had their own currency and charged their own taxes. During this time a rebellion started up and is called Shay's rebellion. Shay battled in all of the dangerous battles. The battle of lexington and concord, Saratoga, Bunker Hill and many more. He started off as a private and ended up a captain. He was so talanted that lafayette awarded him a sword. After the War Shay went back to the farm and didn't have enough money for all the debts. Because by the time the war was over british pounds fell which was what the soldiers were paid in. Having all his possesions taken away by the state including his sword he started a rebellion.

The Government wasn't good. The Government had no power and money. They wrote The Confederation which didn't do shit besides establish The North West and the United Postal Service. Currency was also useless and if you had 5 dollars in Virginian money and go to Maryland and convert you would probably get less. Until we established a government in it's early years was the government truly innocent.
