I've seen how to change your IP address around the net, and I want to do it because I want a new Prize Rebel account. I'm considering going through with it, but I want to know one thing:

I have a laptop, which is currently connected through wireless internet with a linksys router. If I change my IP address, will the laptop auto-adjust to the change, or will I have to then manually make a new connection for it?

    Please HELP!!!!!

Your local IP address has zero to do with your WAN IP (outside).

Your wireless router assigns local private IP's that are never seen on the net, it is used to that all your systems can communicate on the network.

Just use a proxy site, something like http://proxy.org/

You wont be able to change your IP directly using the same connection.

You'll need to use a proxy, like a program such as Hide IP Platinum, or a web-based proxy, you can also go ahead and use http://www.opendns.com/ to ensure more anonymity.

Remember though, you're never 100% hidden, if you plan to do other things besides cheating prize rebel.

I agree with Hercules, best anonymity on the internet is dial-up but proxy would be more civilized and practical.
