If you are running windows xp and it is the current background on your computer, the image HAS to be saved on your computer. If you got it off the internet and just right clicked and did "Set as background" then the image will be saved at:
    C:
    --Documents and Settings
----(User Name) NOTE: Folder name is the name of the windows user account
    ------Local Settings
    --------Application Data
    ----------Microsoft

The file will be in the microsoft folder and will be named Wallpaper1.bmp. You will want to right click the file and copy it. Paste into a folder where you will remember where it is and name it something you will recognize. Do the BEFORE you change your bachground because changing the background will overwrite this image. Good luck.
    Before you post please

i am not quiet sure what ya want. i guess basically ya sayin that you can't right click and save an image. then just print screen and open photshop and edit the picture there.
