I'm new to all this so if I sound dumb I am. I bought my son a PSP and memory stick with a heap of games. All sounds good BUT when he loads Lego Star Wars it says "insufficient space on the memory stick" Please insert a memory stick with at least 80kb free or you will be unable to save. Its a new card so not too sure why it would say that. Other games save ok. Someone PLEASE HELP

Umm. Your memorystick is full. So delete something small and you will be able to save.

    Almost correct.

It's not that his stick is full, it's that it does not currently have enough space on it for that file.(unless someone put the perfect amount of things on it)

He needs to delete something that will provide enough space for him to place the file on.

You said it came with games??

If not, format the memory stick on the PSP.

    Settings>System Settings>Format Memory Stick

You can try formatting it via your PC.

Start>My Computer>Xthe drive letter of your memory stick)

Right click on the drive and there should be a Format option.

You want to do that, deselect quick format, and choose the option that allows up to 2TB(terabytes) to be formatted.

If you choose a lower one, it will cause you to lose most of your space.

Then format it again via the psp and it should remake the folders.

If it still does not work, I'm sorry to say that your memory stick is faulty, aka fake/cheap.

Now I'm getting worried I have been ripped off. anyway cant find the 2tb your talking about. Are you talking about allocation unit size? If so I start at default allocation size nd goes up to 64kb's Does that sound right?

ExCIA, under Memory Stick it has 7855 Mb of free space. Only seems to be a problem with Lego Star Wars

If that is the only problem, don't use that game.

I've heard of other reports about Lego Star Wars not working as well.

Bewood, that would be good if I could just not use the game except my son would be very disapointed.
Can you tell me more about "choose the option that allows up to 2TB(terabytes) to be formatted" where do I find this

I could help you out, but you mind telling me where you purchased the memory stick?

If you format your memory stick, and there still isn't enough room, then there is something wrong with the memory stick.

Have you tried hovering over the memory stick in the xmb menu, then pressing triangle and select I think its properties or information. If it says unknown, its a fake memory stick. If it says anything else like Sandisk or Memorygate, its a real memory stick.

Ps. Don't be fooled by what the memory stick "says" it has. It may say 7500MB left, but if its fake, it could only be like a 25MB memory stick.

If it is a real memory stick, the game might be the problem. If its a fake memory stick, I suggest you get your money back if you can.
