I got these little speakers today from my school gym sale. I wanna use it with my psp but the output volume is not very high. Is there a cheap audio amp out there which uses a 3.5(1/8) input and output jack? I am not willing to spend a ton of money remember....any suggestions?

I suggest building one, like this(read the second last post of mine on the page), both for the cheap price and intelligence boost aquired while studying up on how to build it. Also, there are thousands of improvements you could make to it until you have a fully functional kick ass audio amp.

I can't remember the full list at the moment, but I know you need a (from radioshack) solderless breadboard, solder kit, cheap amp chip to start, some stiff made-for-solderless-breadboard wires (they can stick into the board), some alligator clips, audio input, audio output (cheap 8ohm speaker to start), and a 4 AA Battery holder. I'll check in later with the full list, but you might have some of these parts layin around and you could save money.

What you're looking for is a small headphone amp. If you're at all familiar with Make Magazine, check out their Winter 05/06 issue. I think they had instructions on how to make a headphone amp that would fit in an altoids mint container.

You will need to do some soldering, but it's something you should learn how to do anyway.

Ah, here's a .pdf of the article with all the directions you'll ever need.
