After waiting 3 hours to download windows 7 I opened up the download and it was a .rar file. So i started win rar and opened up the file. To run the file it needs to be an iso file, and when i check properties it says it is an iso file. But when i extracted the file nothing happens. Please help me, i need it to be an iso file so that i can run it on ms virtual pc. So......what do i need to do?

if its an iso then use deamon tools to mount it iso then it will act like a data disk, then do a manual extraction to what ever folder you want

if you just burn the iso to the disk like a data disk, it will not work

I'm amusing you illegally downloaded Windows 7, correct? If it is, I would not install that on your computer. Windows 7 has all this fucked up security shit that recognizes if you stole it. It really would make your life hell. (Restarts every few minutes to few hours) So basically, buy it you cheapass.

I've been running 7077 for awhile. I went from 7057 to 7068 and now to 7077. I'll be updating to a newer one once it has improved more.

I've never had a problem and I've got nothing but good things to say about Windows 7.
