    Ok. This is the most gayest thing that has ever come across in my life. Someone that knows about this stuff, tell me what you think. Is this right or wrong?

    CSS advanced form of HTML.
    The basic principle for C++ is that it is contained on all programming to some extension. Java and Shockwave contains this in some form.
    Does CSS contain our utilize some form of C++?

    I do know that C++ is for Microsoft thats what Microsoft is written in(or originally its been a while since ive been out of school so my history is a little off) but i do know that the quote you have is correct, now wether CSS can be utilized on a mac or windows will tell you if its C++ because Mac will not have it related to C++ at all while Microsoft it will if it is a microsoft based progamming language then yes it is a form of C++ to an extent. help enough?

    No. C++ is a programming language, CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) is what you use for creating websites, and replaced all of the HTML coding in each page. They're two completely different things.

    Without CSS, you would have to dicate the style you wanted on every single piece so, color, font, size etc. With CSS, you put all that in one .CSS file, and then referenced it in your HTML file. Here is an example, it's my CSS sheet for my website:

    Code:
    .bottom-td {
    border-color: #663300 #663300 #FFFFFF; border-style: dashed; border-top-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-left-width: 0px
    }

    td {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 12px;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none
    }

    .txt-10 {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 10px;
    text-decoration: none
    }

    .links-10:link {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 10px;
    color: #CCCC99;
    text-decoration: none
    }

    .links-10:active {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 10px;
    color: #CCCC99;
    text-decoration: none
    }

    .links-10:visited {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 10px;
    color: #CCCC99;
    text-decoration: none
    }

    .links-10:hover {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 10px;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none
    }

    .main-menu:link {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 12px;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none;
    margin-top: 2px;
    margin-right: 2px;
    margin-bottom: 2px;
    margin-left: 2px;
    padding-top: 2px;
    padding-right: 2px;
    padding-bottom: 2px;
    padding-left: 2px
    ; background-color: #330000
    }

    .main-menu:active {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 12px;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none;
    margin-top: 2px;
    margin-right: 2px;
    margin-bottom: 2px;
    margin-left: 2px;
    padding-top: 2px;
    padding-right: 2px;
    padding-bottom: 2px;
    padding-left: 2px
    ; background-color: #800000
    }

    .main-menu:visited {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 12px;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none;
    margin-top: 2px;
    margin-right: 2px;
    margin-bottom: 2px;
    margin-left: 2px;
    padding-top: 2px;
    padding-right: 2px;
    padding-bottom: 2px;
    padding-left: 2px
    ; background-color: #330000
    }

    .main-menu:hover {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 12px;
    color: #FFFF00;
    text-decoration: none;
    margin-top: 2px;
    margin-right: 2px;
    margin-bottom: 2px;
    margin-left: 2px;
    padding-top: 2px;
    padding-right: 2px;
    padding-bottom: 2px;
    padding-left: 2px
    ; background-color: #800000
    }

    .txt-9 {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 9px;
    color: #CCCCCC
    }

    .td-dotted {
    border-color: #663300 #663300 #FFFFFF;
    border-style: dashed;
    border-top-width: 0px;
    border-right-width: 0px;
    border-bottom-width: 1px;
    border-left-width: 0px
    }

    .links-normal:link {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 11px;
    color: #FFFFCC;
    text-decoration: underline
    }

    .links-normal:active {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 11px;
    color: #FFFFCC;
    text-decoration: underline
    }

    .links-normal:visited {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 11px;
    color: #FFFFCC;
    text-decoration: underline
    }

    .links-normal:hover {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 11px;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    text-decoration: none
    }

    .title {
    	font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
    	font-size: 13px;
    	color: #FFFFFF;
    	text-decoration: none;
    	font-weight: bold;
    }

    .titlebrown {
    	font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
    	font-size: 13px;
    	color: #FFCC99;
    	text-decoration: none;
    	font-weight: bold;
    }
    All of the listing, .title, .heading etc dictate what that style should be like. You then reference it in your HTML file, as i said before, like so:

    Firstly in the header of the page, so it knows which CSS file to use:

    Code:
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/ffl-styles.css" type="text/css">
    Then in the actual document itself where you want the formatting. Examples:

    Code:
    <a href="#" class="links-normal">4th August 08</a> - Live Guide Updated<br>
    Code:
    <span class="txt-10">08/09/08</span> | New recording  - AUD #1<br>

    C++ is much more detailed, JAVA is JAVA, C++ is C++, Pascal is Pascal, CSS is a markup language similar to HTML, but that is extended to every page in your site, rather then re-writing every page for differences. How dare someone insult C++ like that D:!

    Last question.
    So is there any relationship between CSS and C++?

    Ok thanks I've now used this thread as evidence to back me up on this stupid argument I was having with my brother . The quote at the top was by him lol.
