Alright, I'm trying my best to join the PSP homebrew scene. I'm currently learning C++ but my compiler only makes programs in the MS-DOS form and not Windows. My brother said he'll get me Visual Basic.NET but I have no clue when that'll be. So I was just wondering, which compilers do you guys use or recommend that I use? I really wanna help people out with homebrew apps and such. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I'm using Dev-C++ by the way.

I use Visual Studios 6.0 for C++ and Visual Basic 6 applications. I use Visual Studios .Net for C# and Visual Basic .Net applications. I believe they are rather expensive though, but my work has paid for my MSDN license, so I don't have to pay for any Microsoft software

In collage, I was a big fan of Borland C++ compilers, but I think those are pretty outdated now a days.

Alright, thanks. I just have one more question, what language do you think is best (or easiest) to create programs in for PSP? My brother said to start with Visual Basic 6 and go from there but since I'm on C++ I was just wondering if I made the right choice.

You can only write games in c++ or LUA for the psp. LUA is more of a scripting language, To write a program for the psp, you will need the psp-sdk. If you are just getting started, I recommend checking out http://www.psp-programming.com/tutorials/
    Good Luck.
