    Which do you prefer?
    ► AVG.
    ► Avast.
    ► Avira.

    Edit:
The reason why I started this thread is because I wanted to install an AntiVirus on my computer and wanted to know which one is best since my computer's been infected so many time while surfing the net.

I use both AVG and Microsoft security essentials on different PCs and I've gotta tell you, MSE works pretty damned good. Used with Firefox as your browser and google as your search engine its a hard combo to beat.

I has Firefox betas, no anti-virus and download shit like there's no tomorrow for atleast a year to 2 years.
And the best part; no viruses, spyware, malware or anything.

If you try Nortons, just get the plain old anti-virus. 360 is a resource hog and internet security is also pretty intensive.

I use AVG, although I know there's much better out there. I actually have a legit copy of McAfee Enterprise that's supposed to be industrial-strength, but it hogs up a lot of system resources. Anyways, I use AVG for real-time protection (ie opening an infected file) but I use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware post-infection and to scan periodically. It's such a good program and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Oh, and if a virus has wrecked your system settings (disabled task manager, command prompt, etc), SUPER Antispyware can fix them all.

    Intel Core i5 M430 2.27GHz | 4GB DDR3 RAM | Intel GMA HD

I use mcafee on my lappy and its good (its a tad bit overactive but that only affects certain obtained software), but yes it is a system hog but on a decent comp it will run fine, AVG will do the trick, but I've had it miss quite a few big viruses.

ahh but if enough people used Ubuntu they'd start writing malicious code for it and then it would require antivirus.
