A friend just told me the other day that a man spent nine thousand dollars to put a computer inside an old nes. So he could use the controller for the nes. Would you do something like this?

NES in a PC has been done many times, for example - My NES PC, I highly doubt anyone spent 9k doing so though, how could they?

could do it for $300. just gut a netbook and connect the monitor output to a tv. wireless keyboard and mouse via a hub, usb modified nes controller, easy. theres alot of space inside a nes housing, you just need hardware small enough to fit in it.

if i had 9k i wouldnt waste it on something like this. '71 buick riviera on the other hand... yes please!

I imagine that he probably put alot more into than just the computer. You know alot of custom stuff.

But what? They're not very big, you have to use a miniATX mobo for a start which serverly limits what you could do. I think it's physically impossible to fit 9k worth of hardware into a NES case.

well I have no idea how this sort of thing works.(wish I did) Its just something my friend heard from somebody else. Its entirely possible that the guy who told my friend could have been full of crap. I mean honstly who would put nine thousand dollars(if he could)on a 900 dollar computer on an nes
