Someone please help with this. I got a iPod touch from a friend and it shows the apple logo with a loading bar. she said its not jailbroken and she wasnt trying to. she said she tried to delete music off of it and it did this. she said it would take 72 hours to fix? is this true?
ALSO is there any way to get a new wifi connector button for the iTouch. mines is gone. Will it still work if its gone?

Idk how many times i've said this, but you would be better off going to Hackulo.us or xSellize.

    1. Restore in iTunes.
    2. Yes, but you'd be better off sending to Apple.

I'm sorry they just take a long time to respond. Do you know if they charge it for free?

Well it's supposed to take a while if you did a restore. I suspect she either was doing a restore from the computer and unplugged it or she did a reset from within the iTouch. It does not take 72 hours though. What you can do is reboot your iTouch by holding Home and Sleep buttons for a few seconds until the screen goes blank, and then let go of Sleep and continue to hold Home until the "plug into iTunes" screen comes up. Then plug it into your computer and do a restore.

And what you are referring to is the Wifi antenna. You really want to get that replaced. Just send the whole thing to Apple, they'll take care of it.

Also, if you do end up restoring it, and it gets stuck on the "Connect to iTunes" screen, use iRecovery. If forces it out if Recovery Mode.

Yeah i got it to work. The iPod sucks ****. It has so many problems. It is missing the Wifi antennae like you said so I can't use the internet, and earphones don't even work on it wtf??? when i plug them in, the speakers just play the music. The Touch screen doesn't even fully work. Some of the letters don't even type. omg.

Alright well what did they do to it then lol? I did this once: Go to the Apple Store and buy Apple Care Protection for like $60. It extends your warranty. Then they'll replace your iTouch in the store on the spot. After you get it replaced, call the number they give you on the box for the Apple Care Protection and cancel and they give you a refund. Worked for me.

I don't know what they did to do it, but now the touch screen works now. Wow this idea sounds good. Can i just buy the Apple care protection from apple.com? Or will it be quicker if I just go to the store and buy it so they can fix it. How long would it take for them to repair it?

Go to the store and tell them you want to extend your warranty with Apple Care Protection. They won't repair it, they'll go to the back of the store and get you a new one.

They usually still have some in the back for this purpose. If not, they'll make you send it and they'll mail you a new one.

How long would it take? So 60 to fix everything with extended warranty?
