So, i f**ed up the tower's OS by testing an old-ass CD drive on it. I have a legit XP disc and key, so that's not a problem. The problem lies in the validation/activation phase AFTER you install XP. It's asking me to do it via phone, or internet, problem is, idk if the license is already used. You see, even though i have the disc and the package, i have no idea where it came from, may be from a past OS repair on another pc.

So blabbity, the point is is i'm trying to bypass said validation/activation phase. It's not letting me log on, and if i refuse it, it shuts off. Any help is appreciated
activate over phone explain your situation, its not a big deal, or you can just a temporary reg edit bypass, but that only works for while its on and must be done after each reboot.

How to check if you can mod your PSP

I got a version of XP that will load on any Dell. All you need is your drivers. PM me and I'll send you a copy.

whe i had that issue...just installed it, the serial # and when i did update, i chose not to install the windows genuine validation check update...never asked again, never gave an issue and still gets all the latest xp udpates.

even though it's valid the boot disc i used, the pc's # was valid for windows 98, so i had to uncheck that update and to never install it...problem solved, smooth running xp sp3 on Dell pos lol

i hate Dells, it's my work pc though and beats waiting 2 weeks for our IT guy to do what i could do in 30mins.

Download this and problem solved but your gonna have to reinstall the OS for that 30 day trail and then run antiwpa. Its been over 30 days and mine is still running.

    AntiWPA.rar

Or you could use Hazar's Win7 Loader...
Or download a prepatched Win 7...

sorry i havent checked up on here lol. yea peng, after the installation reboot, it asks for the activation or else it shuts off. oh and, i have no way to connect this thing to the internet so a bypass is definitely needed. "this copy of windows needs to be activated with microsoft before you can log on"

edit: i reinstalled it and changed an option during the process, i got it to start. looks like i can use it for 30 days, now i need to get by the confirmation id prompter o.o
