    Hey guys, need some help on selecting a new phone. Got a free upgrade because U.S. Cellular loves my service. Got my choices between the two:

    By looking at the specs alone, on paper and aesthetically, the Mesmerize looks WAY better. But there is something about the Desire that is pulling me toward it like the Mesmerize is a bad idea. Just need some outside input for what to do.

    im pretty sure that the desire can get the 2.2 update which is much more powerful so the specs for the desire will rise; like the battery and stuff like that.
    i like HTCs so i would get the desire

    I did a little googling, and both phones are capable of the 2.2 update.

    Thats 2 HTC, 0 Samsung.

    IDK I just would like to hear more about both tbh. Have anyone of you owned one of these?

    nope but my uncle has a HTC got a good home menu (which i emulate on my phone), fast processor, good screen size overall very good

    Hmm. Thats odd. I have a friend that only has problems with his HTC Touch Pro 2, though I still like the design and OS of that phone. I just need swaying either way. I've only had good experiences with Samsung though. Only phone that legitimately hasn't had some kind of hardware/software issue (with the phones I've owned btw).
