    HI,

i just got a psp3000 hacked and i was wondering if is possible to play psone games on this system i heard there's a emulator named PSX does this work on a psp3000 ver 5.03?
because i used to have a psp1000 and all you have to do to play psone games was to put the eboot image on the game folder

    thanks in advance

I'm not too familiar with the PSP 3000...I think it's the same as the PSP 1000 though. You'll probably just need the PSX eboot and the keys file.

Well, use google for all your pirating needs (can't post links here) and the keys.bin file should come with the PSX game. If not, then you won't need it. The way I understand it is, that if it came with one you'll need it; if it didn't have a keys.bin file, then it wont be necessary.

there is heavy failure here. alright op: the PSP has its own native PSX emulator. PSX is another name for playstation-1, a certain model and it's just cooler to say psx. This means psp runs psx very damn well because it's developer-supported. What you need to run psx games on psp is to convert psx discs to psp, i have laid these instructions and necessary links in the link in my signature.

Of course, you need a "hacked" 3000, and instructions for that is also in my signature. For that 3k, it absolutely needs to have a firmware of 5.03 or less or else you can't run your own psx games, it'd have to be bought games from PSN

so, you were all talking about popsloader in the ms0:/seplugins folder on the memstick in the brite, right?

OP - you can go further by updating 5.03 gen-c to 5.03 prometheus v-4 (i think, its hard to keep up) - though my motto is if it aint broke, dont fix it.

Popsloader is used when the PSX game will not run correctly on the current firmwares POP's version.
