Do you know where that famous line comes from? the "to be or not to be?" It comes from Shakespeare's "Hamlet" in one of Hamlet's soliloquies.
Anyways, i agree with tso. Stick with your awesome 1000. Unless you want the newest gadget! I dont think the go is that all bad...

to be frank, it's a downgrade. Sure the screen is better.....in quality.....but it's smaller and you'll find it more cramped. But not as cramped as your hands will be when you want to use the analog, which is like 1/3 the size of the Phat's, which i find plenty small enough already. I use a silicon cover cap for my 2k analog, does wonders in terms of comfort. Certain games like Monster Hunter will be technically impossible to play on it because you need to move the camera using the dpad, with your index finger on the wide models, impossibly painful on the go.

If you want an upgrade, i'd go for a 2k on the premise that the screen doesn't ghost as much, or even the 3k which has very little ghosting and much better color, although has those scanlines that remind me a lot of tube tv's. It's an effect i welcome, actually, makes me feel fond of it.
