Well seeing as I recently bought a 8GB iPod Touch 4th Gen I thought I'd Jailbreak it for shits and giggles and figure why not start posting news about it.

A little back story for those who don't know.Currently there is only a tethered jailbreak for 4.3 and 4.3.1(From what I've read the 4.3.1 one is garbage). What that means is that if your device is shut off you have to boot it using a tethering tool such as iBooty.

Now onto the actual news:

i0n1c recently has shown off the iOS 4.3.1 untethered in action yesterday.

Now he has confirmed via Twitter that he has now handed over the iOS 4.3.1 untethered exploit to the members of the iPhone Dev-Team and that it is being beta tested privately.

Then followed with:

Now keep in mind all you iPad 2 owners that are going not without a jailbreak, this is NOT helpful for you. Bummer I know. But just hang tight because the jailbreak devs in this community are working hard to find a exploit.
Stay tuned…

Personally to me the tethered jailbreak for 4.3 that I'm using is fine as even befre my touch my iPod always stayed on but I do like the idea of not using iBooty if it did shut off.
