You should test another game, or test Oblivion on another 360.

What? The 360s melt??? How does that happen?

    June 2005 - PSP homebrewed
    August 2006 - DS homebrewed

Embrace diversity.....play both handhelds the way they weren't meant to be played!

because, when they first came out, they rushed alot, and they didn't pay attention to what they were doing. Most people who got them on the first day had it burn out on them in the first few hours of playing.

I doubt it's dust if it's only 2 weeks old, unless you live in the middle of iraq or something. There's also the possibility that it's one of the defective ones from early on that was sitting in a warehouse for a couple months. It should be still under warrantee, so test another game, and if not, just ring up ms and they'll replace it. what was causing the overheating early on is the dumbasses on the assembly line forgot to peel off the foil covering the thermal paste on the heatsinks, so that's the first thing to check if your warrantee's void (like mine ). I've had my 360 since april, and it hasn't overheated or given me a disc read error once.

take the power brick and give it as much ventilation as you can.
(a psp box is perfect for 360 degree vents for that massive thing)

if that doesn't fix it, take it back, and demand a replacement.

the power supply has nothing to do with a dirty disc error. it's not overheating, it just won't read his oblivion disc.

hrmmm...which drive do you have in it? and also, have you tried any other discs yet? and are you sure you didn't like bump it or anything while there was a disc in the drive? if you don't have any other games, just put a dvd or cd in there and see if it reads it
