im not new but i might have made a unbricker

while i was trying to make my headset, i was talking to by brother when i accidently put the wrong wiring together and when i plugged my headphones in it shut off the psp but kept on the psp power light, then i took out the head phones and when i flipped the power switch it started like i did when i bought it

i decided to try this on my friends bricked psp, and it WORKED!!!!
it may have been luck but to tell you the truth i don't know how i did it, if you want more info i'll try and help you cuz i have somewhat of an idea so just send a private message to me

how would a set of crossed wires manage to rewrite the onboard flash memory and restore it to working condition?

srry but i'll try and make a video but will take a week cuz my video camera is broken right now but its getting fixed

and it rewrites the flash cuz my dad(electrical engineer and developer) told me that the mismatched electrical currents form the wires can cause the motherboard to reset when hit by the headphones( actually the remote part), or something like that

i will get a video of me doing it on a regular psp but i don't now anyone else who has a bricked psp

EDIT: if it doesn't work on any other bricked psp's then i am indeed very sorry for the mishap and i will test more than once before posting about it but, i will give it a try, it may just work on minor bricks.

it can't just "reset", if the flash is corrupted, it's corrupted. that's like saying jumpering the bios reset in your computer's gonna reformat the hdd. and as far as what your dad said, the psp isn't a computer, and the port where the remote plugs in is a serial port, which requires digital commands sent across it to operate, not just shorting it out.

i don't want complaints man, i just thought i might post it to see if it could turn into something big so it might work and it might not, no biggie
i just posted to see if anybody else could follow up on it

EDIT: and ?, if its possible to brick your psp through corrupted headphone jacks, then wouldn't it be possible to unbrick it
or maybe just unbrick it if that is all that happened

you can't brick your psp through a corrupted headphone jack, aside from frying the hardware, and that isn't the kind of "brick" most people talk about, and if you do that, you can't "unbrick" it, aside from getting a new mobo.
