    anyone know a way to extract the music files from ps2 cds?

    sry, but no clue . That'd be really cool though, I'd want my FF10 soundtrack.

    I know it's possible, a kid I went to high-school with used to do it with the FF games, seems like he used a winamp plugin, I can't remember the name of it for the life of me...

    EDIT: Here it is, it's called the "highly experimental" plugin:

    it allows you to play the playstation sound files (files with a .psf2 extension), so theoretically you could use it to record them as mp3. as far as getting the psf2 files, My first guess would be to pop the game in the computer and search for them, and if you can't find them, use a program like isobuster to view the other parts of the disc.

    EDIT again: actually, at that same site they have a little kit to rip the psf2 files:

    All I know of is a program for GTA : SA that you can rip music from the ps2 disk. Thats the only thing I know of ps2 game music ripping.

    sadly i collected VGM (Video Game Music) in high quality formats (all .mp3 extensions)

    I may have the song your looking for... ... what is it your looking for anyways?
    Or just information on how to do it yourself?

    psf2 is better than mp3 by far, if you have the software to play it. Most the ff soundtracks take up several cd's in mp3 format, but in psf2, they're only a couple hundred kb, and sound just as good.
