Are you one of those select few filthy rich potential PS3 buyers? Then boy have I got news for you. According to an e-mail I just recieved from GameStop and EBGames, they will be accepting pre-orders starting Oct. 10 on a first-come, first-serve basis. Not that I care, I want a Wii. If you do care, by chance, hit the jump for the full e-mail.

ÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÆ Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¡Ãƒâ šÃ‚Â¬ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Â¦ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â €šÂ¬Ã…“GameStop and EB Games will begin accepting limited pre-orders for the PlayStation 3 console on Tuesday, October 10, on a first come, first served basis. Due to extremely limited supply, we expect to deplete this allocation very quickly, most likely in minutes. We will not accept additional pre-orders at this time. To avoid an unnecessary trip we strongly recommend you call your local store to determine availability. A $100 reservation deposit is required, which can be funded with cash, credit or trade. As we cannot control production and shipping issues by the manufacturer, a reservation deposit does not guarantee receipt of a system available to purchase at launch. Reservations/Purchases are limited to 1 per household.

Our limited online pre-order program will be announced at a later date, after software and accessory availability dates are confirmed. Online product pricing and availability will vary and will be fulfilled independent of store reservations.ÃƒÆ’Ã‚à ¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬à ¡Ã‚Â¬Ãƒâ€š?

i found this news story on ign that made me laugh. it relates to the ps3

" October 9, 2006 - Welcome to a new, weekly feature examining the games you readers are most excited about. While you are moving about the site, clicking away and soaking up all this gaming goodness, IGN is going all Big Brother on your ass: we're watching where you click, how long you stay there, and what color socks you're wearing. And what does all our creepy voyeurism produce? A top ten list of the games you're most interested in! Let's take a look…

Here are the top ten games across all platforms for the week of 10/1/2006 - 10/8/2006:

    1. Halo Wars (X360)
    2. Assassin's Creed (X360)
    3. Gears of War (X360)
    4. BioShock (X360)
    5. Alan Wake (X360)
    6. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)
    7. Mass Effect (X360)
    8. Fable 2 (X360)
    9. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (X360)
    10. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)

So two new systems are launching in just over a month, but all you guys are excited about is the year old Xbox 360? It's pretty telling that not only are there no PS3 games on the list, but the 360 version of Assassin's Creed (until just recently a PS3 exclusive) is the one everybody's talking about. As for Alan Wake, we were just as surprised at the title's X06 showing as you were: that game is officially looking badass."

you should buy one and sell it on ebay, youll get a crapload for it.
it was the same with the xbox360 when it first came out. rich kids would buy it because they couldnt get one from the stores.

Sony is really getting screwed in the a-hole, by themselves! I check the monthly sales all the time and Sony is lucky if they get 1 PSP game in the top 10....or even top 20 sometimes.

    June 2005 - PSP homebrewed
    August 2006 - DS homebrewed

Embrace diversity.....play both handhelds the way they weren't meant to be played!

Sweet, I got 2 reserved. Won't be keeping them though. I'll be getting one when the price drops.
