Unless you ditribute it to anyone else, then no. Its like ISOs, its legal if you own the UMD.

11-15-2006, 10:02 PM Is it illegal to make a copy of a ps2 game and keep it for yourself as long as u have the original. Because i have a lil sister who breaks my games. Not diliberatly but she scatches them, she 6. But ne way i plan to make a cope of my game. and hide the real copy and play the copy that way if she scrathces it, i still have my game and can make another copy so i dont' have to waste my money on games that get broken, ill still be wastein money on the cds to make the game but ill save alot. So what do yas think, is it illegal.

11-16-2006, 12:52 AM yeah definitely not illegal if you're playing backups.......and yes burned dvds or cds work on the ps2.....I myself use a swapping program but not the actual swapmagic

Put a Modchip on your PS2 and Enjoy Burned Discs, or you can buy a Hard Disk or a Linux Kit for your PS2 and Copy PS2 Games Image (ISO) on HDD.
