when I was reading reviews back in the day I read that SLI was much better than crossfire, but this was a while ago.
Today has been the most beautiful day I've ever seen.

True but SLi still kicks cf's ass. Crossfire isn't as efficient as SLi.

"f you play on a 30" LCD that supports resolutions of up to 2560x1600, antialiasing won't be of much use if you want to maintain a decent frame rate with all of the eye candy turned on. On the other hand, if you're still using a 19" LCD with a maximum resolution of 1280x1024, you might not need two video cards. When it comes to upgrading your computer, remember to build evenly-- there's no point in spending $1200 on a pair of video cards if you're still using a $300 monitor."

this explains everything. theres no need to own dual video cards unless u are playing on a big screen. id be happy w/ a 20 inch screen and a top of the line single card
