  1. #1 Pc vs Mac
    Hey,
im wondering wether to get a mac, mac mini to be precise, and i want to know if they are any major flaws that will affect my decision. I see that apple have put an application on macs so that u can run windows on a mac. That is awesome, so will i stil be able to play games like CS:1.6 etc?

lets call everyone noobs to make ourselves feel better.:eek

macs are pc's now, I don't see why everyone still feels the need to distinguish between them. I love the new imacs, but for gaming, I would suggest building a normal x86 computer that can run windows natively, and installing OSX86, so you can have the best of both worlds. I run windows xp media center, vista, kubuntu, and OS X, and it's not a mac . OSX86 runs much better on a run of the mill x86 machine than windows does on a mac.

if you're after gaming through booting into windows on a mac, then get an iMac. simply put the graphics card on the mini is just motherboard video, and therefore crap.

it is, however enough to be hooked up to a hdtv for media.

i'd say if you were wanting the perfect gaming pc, go for the iMac 24" the screen will make your jaw drop.

also, with the osx86 boot, it's never going to be as good as when you can install windows on a mac. boot camp makes a driver disk for windows, for your computer. so you get all the drivers you need for native windows.

it's just exactly the same as running windows natively on anything else.

the thing is though, you could build a much more powerful pc than the 24" imac for the same price. It would be a much better solution for gaming than buying a mac. Don't get me wrong, the school has a bunch of the new imacs, and I love em, but not for gaming.

dude get nokia, it runs on symbian (3.0 i think). I have a nokia N93 and i have over 100 applications on it, from answering machines, to ir remote to a program that generates a certain frequency of sound to keep flies away from you, trust me the possibilities are endless, nvm any other phone with limited capabilities. SYMBIAN rules! u can read docs, pdf's, excel etc. even get a program that calls a number u assign when the camera senses any motion in its field of view. it just rocks.
