Who said I was talking about Miami... Since KG moved to the Eastern Conference everything has changed. Kobe was waiting for Garnett to be traded, who knows maybe Kobe may come to the East because hes pretty firm on not remaining with the Lakers. The Bulls are also looking quite good after signing Joakin Noah etc, who knows maybe they could beat the supposedly "almighty" Pistons (which they're not). If the Cavs can beat the Pistons in the post season...which still gets to me. Then they're not as great as you have them out to be and considering they haven't changed up their team at all besides signing some rookies. It looks like the East is even more open for the taking. Thats what I meant by saying debatable.

If Kobe comes to the east, he is going to Chicgao. They are the only ones that can afford him...and if they can keep their core (hinrich, deng, wallace) they will be the best team in BAsketball, infront of the pistons

probably wont happen but...im lovin this trade

Default NBA draft

Kobe isn't going anywhere. The Bulls have a young core but with an aging Wallace, and a lot of money tied up in him, they arn't gonna be heading to the Finals. As for the Pistons losing in the Finals, that was something the NBA did. As i've said for years, the NBA is almost like WWF. The sport is so easily determined by referees. The NBA wanted LeBron James in the finals. They want higher TV ratings. Though it backfired and they had the lowest TV ratings for any NBA Finals. But mark my word, San Antonio will be replaced by the Suns this year in the Finals and the Cavs will be replaced by a large market team. It would help tremendously for the NBA to have higher TV ratings. That is the main way the NBA makes money. It's scripted.

while there were many bad calls, the eastern conference finals wasnt scripted...wallace and gordon for kobe is a legit trade. Kobe will not go anywhere becaue the lakers are one of 3 NBA teams that need to do good for ratings (knicks, lakers, celtics)

Antione Walker Wants to Come Home « Celtics Thug Rumors

Antione Walker Wants to Come Home

Former Boston Celtics Co-Captain Antione Walker wants to end his career as a Boston Celtics. I’ve spoken to a source close to Antione Walker and this source as told me that Walker is unhappy in Miami and he wants to come back to Boston. I was told Antione has place calls to his agent to see what he could do to make something happen. Antione also has reached out to Paul Pierce I was told mostly to congratulate Paul on KG trade and also to tell him that he would love to come back home to finish what he and Paul started.

Saunders avoids Minnesota bridge collapse

DETROIT -- Road construction put Detroit Pistons coach Flip Saunders on the 10th Avenue bridge Wednesday in Minneapolis.

I got out of my car and the first thing I heard was the kids screaming on the bus. I called 911. I didn't really know what else I could do.

Saunders

The detour perhaps saved his life.

"I usually take the 35W bridge, but the ramp was closed," Saunders said Thursday from Minneapolis in a telephone interview with The Associated Press. "My daughter was driving in a car right behind me when the bridge collapsed -- about 20 yards away from us. It sounded like a bomb when it dropped.

"I got out of my car and the first thing I heard was the kids screaming on the bus. I called 911. I didn't really know what else I could do," he said.

Saunders, a former Minnesota Timberwolves coach, was driving home after speaking at Tubby Smith's basketball camp at the University of Minnesota, where Saunders starred as a player.

"A day later, I'm still in a surreal state of mind," he said. "I can still see what happened. It's kind of like having flashbacks."

Divers checked submerged cars in the Mississippi River on Thursday for victims still trapped beneath the twisted steel and concrete slabs of a collapsed bridge.

"Our staff was in our office when we heard the news and we walked down to the bridge to see if there was anything we could do. ... We were told at the scene there was nothing we could help with and followed the authorities' request to clear the area," Smith said in a statement Thursday. "Obviously, our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families. Our program, athletic department and university will do whatever we can to help our community recover from this disaster."

The eight-lane Interstate 35W bridge, a major Minneapolis artery, was in the midst of repairs when the bridge buckled during the evening rush hour Wednesday. Dozens of cars plummeted more than 60 feet into the river, some falling on top of one another. A school bus sat on the angled concrete.
