I live in Medellin , Colombia
people things colombia is a country with only rainforest and swamps, with hundreds of marihuana/cocaine labs, and with jungle-like-people living in trees, and mafiosi in huge mansions...
well this is a normal city, classified in the world's most violent cities after bagdad
and another city I cant remember, but its nice...
but something to clarify, this city seems to be screwed up.
corrupt politics, a very filthy river (its a big river, but if you see it is absolutely filthy, with rats on the borders, and water is not blue, no brown, its contaminated water)
schools are very nice if private, but if they are public, you better get out of problems or dont mess with anyone, unless you want to be stabbed, or worst
and thiefs are very common
reciently a very horrible thing here is
when someone has to pay some money but cant or is late on any pay,
people pay gangsters
then they follow the victim in motorcicles
and shoot them.
last case was a woman who paid some thugs to kill her husband for wasting the money he got in work, for drink and gamble.
but is a nice city
but another facts reciently found:
dialy 16 woman are raped in this city
dialy 10 persons are kidnapped in this city
monthly more than 30 persons are brutally murdered
monthly more than 30 cars are hijacked (oo even more than 40)
dialy 10 workers are fired. (not in all the city, thats in each sector of industry)(thats about 500 weekly)
dialy at least 20 persons get robbed (at day) and 30 get robbed, possibly kidnapped (at night)
nobody can be in streets after 6 pm during this week
and the speed limit is 60KPH for highways, and 25KPH for any other place
