@MavrickTheGreat: I said without the inclusion of a built in HD-DVD player will hurt the console in the future not just for movies but for gaming aswell. Because games like GTA San Andreas and Final Fantasy 10 etc. already fill up a DVD-9 almost at its peak, which is the best a 360 is capable of reading. And when last gen games are capable of doing that where does that leave next gen. I've already heard that Bluray is not enough for the new Metal Gear Solid 4 games so we'll see what happens.

Actually I almost got a 360. I hated the idea of paying to play online, plus paying for a game to play online though.

Edit: Oh yeah, I think the Wii is the most pointless system... I hate the Wii. That can't be any fun for any real gaming, let alone an all night gaming session. At least I can watch DVD's on it though right? WRONG!

well you wouldnt want to miss Halo 3 and alot of great games are coming out this year so id get a regular 360(instead of elite).Also its 50 bucks for 12 months with free demos of games,unlimited text and voice messages,unlimited private chat and IMing.Also online play is so worth it when you have memorable moments with your friends(IN WHICH YOU CAN WATCH OVER AND OVER WITH THEM IN HALO 3!)sry got a little exited there lol ITS TOO LONG OF A WAIT .

Here Here, I've had many good times on Live especially on gears of war and DOA4. But yeah many great games are coming out soon mass effect been dying to play that also fable 2.

I actually rank them:

1st - Wii (first major innovation for console games since the ANALOG STICK (go Sony on that one))
2nd - 360 I like it's linking with Vista as a video-music transfer station, not to mention it's cheaper than the PS3 and has Halo
3rd - PS3 I wanted to like it, I really did, but it's sooooo expensive, and the sixaxis-wiimote thing bothers me a lot......... not to mention a lot of their exclusives have jumped ship to the 360 anyway.....

Yes, the Wii can't play DVDs or CDs, but that's what modding is for, lol, and not to mention, graphics aren't everything. If that was true, there'd be a lot more "great" games out today, lol. Oh, and my friends and I played 2 Wii games for 6+ hours in one session....... does that count as "late night" gaming? hehehe.

I aggree with you, graphics aren't everything, I mean, 16 bit game consoles had some of the best games.
But, I'd personally try to pass on any console offering bad graphics and crappy games such as bowling, boxing, golf, soccer, and baseball. Not to mention the one million "different" mario games they'll put out...
All that, plus no average user can play cds or watch a dvd.
Now thats innovation! Great job nintendo...
I guess the wii-mote, wii-nun chuck, and all that other wii-shit is innovative. But, it's useless when it's not put to any good use. That, plus I honestly think that it's stupid. I can't use that for more than 30 minutes without being too bored to go on.

Late night gaming for me was playing socom online for 9 hours, often. Nerdy, I know, but from 8pm to 4am, I was pwning noobs on socom...
I'll be doing that again on my ps3, while you enjoy "WiiSports"....

I know they're losing money, I posted myself. Anyways read the news buddy... bluray drives are becoming easier to produce since its easier to make the diodes thats why Sony has already dropped the price of one of their bluray players by $100. Sure they're losing money in terms of porportionality I'm not arguing that, all I provided was info proving there may be a price drop by the holiday season. They're a big company they can afford to make these sacrifices besides PS3 sales should turn around after this supposed price but and once the PS3 gets some killer apps like Lair or Killzone 2 Which I've heard has been shaping up to be quite the impressive game.
