Next Gen War!

Everybody knows that the next gen war is a huge one!

Now heres the standings
1st - 360

2nd - Wii

3rd - PS3

360 had an entire year to start selling consoles so its in first, but if you line up the charts nintendo wii has sold more than 360 did in its opening months. PS3 is dead last because no progamer would buy it for maby 3 good games.

Nintendo Wii is the best console for any gamer, even the pros!

uhhhhh...no the 360 is so much better...the wii gets boring...maybe zelda is fun and thats about it...360 GOW, Halo, Live, MAdden, NBA,

well i wouldnt consider Wii a next gen since it will go the path of Gamecube and DS and its hardly inovative.so id leave it between the other 2 and its obvious which one i picked . (it was 360.......)

All three have been out long enough to make this a stupid thread. Let alone you thread comparing crash and halo....
Just because someone says that halo is one of mentionable good games for xbox, doesn't mean their a fan.
I don't play halo, but it's a good game. It gets good reviews. It's the game that keeps the xbox alive...

actually that is TRUE!!lol but the tom clancy series and call of duty series have kept me goin on the long wait till september 25th.

Yeah, I have no problem with Halo, and would play it if I had the system, but it's Sony for me... I just have to wait until 2008 for good games

Actually I almost got a 360. I hated the idea of paying to play online, plus paying for a game to play online though.

Edit: Oh yeah, I think the Wii is the most pointless system... I hate the Wii. That can't be any fun for any real gaming, let alone an all night gaming session. At least I can watch DVD's on it though right? WRONG!

yea i dont play halo alot...im not an addict...i just feel that sony messed up this one....welll for the time being...the games will get better but people will already have their systems and wont want to switch..

you cant determine the winner right now. it matters at the end of the systems lives, and my money is on microsoft this time. theyve done everything right with the 360

if im correct witch im probably not, the Wii is not a nextgen console, the Wii cant compare with the 360 and the ps3 graphics wise and what you can really do

their hasnt been one next gen game for the Wii in my mind, no games for the wii really havent caught my eye like Assasins creed for the 360 and the ps3

and doesnt next gen refer to graphics mostly?

But yes the 360 wins, cant wait for Fable 2 and Assasins Creed

I think next gen, refers to the new generation of the console. As in the ps3 is the new gen of the ps2, the 360 is the new generation of the xbox. That would make the Wii the new generation of the gamecube.

Hes saying the Wii isn't on par with the 360 and PS3 in terms of graphics. but that is only one aspect of the Next Gen systems the Wii is innovative in its own right with its control scheme and family based gameplay, even if the PS3 has the same motion sensing feature its not as fluid as the Wiis. Even though the 360 is doing well many analysts predict the PS3 to come out on top as the price goes down but to its credit the 360 is a fantastic machine but the lack of a built in HD-DVD player will hurt the system in the long run. I mean lets face it the PS3 is the superior console. With its included Bluray drive and raw processing power. The only reason its sales numbers are low compared to the 360 is simply because of the price. its not like Sony is trying to rip us off afterall they're losing $220 of off every PS3 they sell. I've heard there will be a price drop by the holiday season. I think Sony will come out on top eventually followed closely by Microsoft and then the Wii like last gen. And the Wii as much as I hate to say it will probably end up becoming a fad that will eventually die out besides its few blockbusters it offers little else for goodness sake it doesn't even play dvd videos! Just buy all three systems like me so you can enjoy everything the gaming world has to offer.

i doubt alot of people go out to buy the 360 with hd-dvd's in mind, generally alot of HDTV's are coming standard with dvd players built in

and the Wii's title selections are horrible, the only game ive found fun (friend has most of the Wii games since their really isnt that many titles right now ) and that is zelda all the other games get boring about 2 hours into it, alotta repetitiveness

but right now titles are keeping the 360 alive, theirs some good ones, not a whole lot, but more then the other systems

Yeah, but in the hd-dvd and possibly bluray playing age. Which one will do best.
People want more than one thing, in one thing. Think about the PSP does more than just games. The cell phones do more than just call.
A huge selling point for the ps3 is that people will be able to use it for what they want. Not just playing kiddie, g-rated games (wii)...
When the dvd becomes the new vhs. People will prefer the machine that will let them multi-task their ass off.
I used my ps2 mostly for gaming, but when I wanted to watch a movie, I didn't need my own dvd player. I could watch it in my room thanks to my ps2. I wouldn't have wanted a gaming device without the dvd player.

Titles are keeping the 360 alive. It got a head start...
We'll see.
