i can play for 13 hours straight on mine(tested myself before it like almost melted) but it wont happen at all if you spend the extra 20-30 dollars for an external cooler.

Second you don't need another harddrive when a premium comes with it

So even with the wifi which most people don't need it would only be 500..

And microsoft did it in a good way, why would I want to buy a HD dvd player for 200 bucks more when I already have one, if that was built in, xbox would be more expensive, why do I need wifi adapter when I have a my router right next to my xbox? Why do I need a memory card reader on a gaming system?

They sell it separately so you aren't forced to buy it, and if you want it you can buy it..

Oh and the PS3 is going to discontinue the older 20, and possibly 60 gig models when the 80 gig comes out, which will be $600.

They both have faults, PS3 is pricy and doesn't have a wide selection of games as of now, some 360's are faulty, like mine I have had 7..

I wish people would just stop being fanboys, base everything on facts, and you like what you like.

dude, the ps3 heats up too. the fans that come with it only let it last a little while longer. either way you're gonna need a fan for both systems if you play fanatically. right now the 360 has more games out but you can expect sony to come out with some crazy new games for the ps3 once they actually start designing games for the system itself instead of porting other games. but then again.. to me its all a preference thing. woot for sony if they decide to do the tivo thing

blu-ray will definitely win, and has already won in my eyes. what does HD DVD have that blu-ray doesnt? blu-ray is higher quality, and holds a ton more information on one disc. as soon as blu-ray becomes the dominant format the prices for blu-ray movies will go down, just like when dvds first came out. everyone keeps saying how high the price of a blu-ray player is right now and blah blah blah. well if you go back and look at the beginning of dvd technology, dvd players werent exactly cheap off the get-go either, but once everyone started noticing that the quality was a shitload better and as the dvd players became cheaper it all sky rocketed and its now the most widely used video format.

That's only to make it even with the PS3 in terms of hardware. It does suck that there is no games for the PS3, but there is a hell of a lot for the PS2, that you can play and upscale. And yes, Blu-Ray is better, and it is one cheap Blu-Ray player that you can get.

its called using a modem to direct connect...you dont NEED the wi fi adapter

If you need that much space get the elite...and then PS3 has to give you an extra 40 gigs so add that to your total

hd dvd player is 180. i know when people first bought their 360s they didnt think MS made such a faulty product.in my opinion MS is lucky they launched first. So in my mind you have a right to be one sided. i do have a fan and still didnt work. the ps3 heats up but probably after 10 hrs. all i need is 4. besides I dont here anything about the ps3s failure rate.

Just because your taking all accessories that the majority of users don't use to jack up the price to make yourself feel cool that your dissing the 360..
