i got a new video card. and, i just want to know. can i somehow turn the other one off? the one my pc came with. is a chipset type card.

old: ati radeon xpress 200 128mb
new: nvidia geforce 7300 gs pci xress 256mb

i think u can disable it in the bios. otherwise just uninstall the drivers and it wont work anymore

I recommend just disable it by drivers, don't bother with the bio's.

Right click my computer -> properties -> hardware tab -> device manager -> look under display adapters and disable your old one.

if the new card is isntalled, thw motherboard will automatically disable the onboard vga
