I have ordered a xbox360 and should be arriving soon, was wondering if someone could link me to some good forum communities for help moding it for homebrew. Thanks!

I really couldn't careless about XBOX Live, theres other ways to play online. But, anyway...Anyone please?

yea but still you get someone to tape your gamertag glitching and they ban your IP thus no online capabilities and youd have to buy a new pc and 360 to get xbl back its all in the contract you sign.

You wouldn't need a new PC. XBL bans by the hardware on the xbox, there is no way your PC would be affected..

I used to know of a site but have long forgot the address. I decided that i really didn't care about hacking mine since it wasn't worth the risk. I like to play online.

There is supposed to be a way to mod or hack the optical drives firmware so you can play backup game in it. But of course like sony, Microsoft is on the hunt to stop these folks. And like chips and other mods on the 360, if caught, your system will be tagged and banned from Live FOREVER (dun dun duuuun).

k, first off. your all noobs at modding 360's and Haloboy, don;t start bud. You clearly know nothing about hacking the 360.

I've had my 360 for well over a year now and modded majority of that time.

Haloboy, MS bans the consoles Ip. Not your computers.

First things you need to know about modding is the method of modding it. I simply flashed my drive, costing me nothing out of my pocket by simply connecting the dvd drive to my computer. if your not computer savy, check your local add listings for xbox mod and you can probably find tons of ads offering drive flashing. Be careful with what drive you end up with though, Samsung drives are good to have, but try to stay away from Hitachi and BenQ.

Although the BenQ drive hack has been recently released, I doubt seeing an iXtreme firmware released any time soon.

I was banned from live a while ago for playing backups, so just be careful with what you put in your dvd drive when connected to live.

How would you know what i know AND they take both IPs since your online capabilities come from your computer it depends on the type of ban.The comp is not effected,your 360 just cant use your comps ip for internet connection anymore.

They don't ban your IP address they ban whats called a MAC address long story short its a device only (anything that connects to the net has a MAC address) 1 in existence physically on the modem. Think of it as Your Physical Street Address VS a IP address is only where your mail is delivered. IP addresses change all the time.

Oh yes im sorry thats what it is they ban the systems ip and the comps MAC.I did forget the difference but still proves the point they can make it so you cant use the 360 with THAT comp now if you had 2 thats another story.Im just here to warn ya microsoft doesnt give mercy,refunds or retrys once you fall victim to the banhammer.

Did I just read that correctly? Are you seriously THAT dumb? NO, Microsoft does not, I repeat DOES NOT have ANY control over your pc Ip adress or whatever the hell you are talking about.

I have been banned from live on my 360. I know what I am talking about. You, do not.

Microsoft bans the consoles mac address, not allowing it on live anymore. Nothing with your computer whatsoever.

Please don't come back with some stupid remark, you clearly know nothing what your talking about.
