Hey guys , I'm starting this thread , to see what the majority of this website likes (it's members) I'm a Neutral party BUT what Next Gen Console do u like? Provide Reasons...

PS3

PROS: Awesome , well done games (resistance , Heavenly , Ninja Gaidan)

Cons : EXPENSIVE!

360 : PROS : Good , Cheap And Pretty Awesome Game line up

CONS: Rings of Death = SHIT , and Live isn't free

Wii : Pros : Innovation is awesome... CHEAP and Fun to play with
Cons: Game line up isn't too good at moment, and not much online.

Well I havn't even played a PS3 yet but I have a new xbox 360 and I love it but all I can say is since I am a RPG fan...the RPG selection isn't that great for 360 but I always loved the xbox so I am going to go XBOX360

i have my wii and i love it...but......halo 3.......

ill get a 360 eventually.

actually the funny thing is....im a huge halo fan...but i havent had time or really been concerned with video games lately. I have too much going on.

I think the Wii went too "kiddy" I love Nint3ndo, they have been a part of my life since I was a kid, I like the ideas behind the Wii, just not all of the games. I loved Zelda on all of the N3S platforms including the Wii but too many of the games are cartoonish. IMO if they had fight night on Wii, I would buy one 1 hr after I found out, the interaction and the game would be a sweet combo. If N3S would put out some adult oriented games dude I would go nuts man until they do I will stick with PS3 and 360 ---- Sorry about the long as$ comment!!

sony is dropping the ps3 price to 399 w/40GB HD....i would still go 360 for now becasue of the exclusives (halo and bioshock), its faster FPs in MAdden, and Unreal tourney is coming out at the same time on each system now. However, in the future, the PS3 will be probably better in terms of gameplay

I personally like the ps3 better than the 360. I like its games more. Halo 3 doesnt excite me at all. I played 1 and 2 and was quite disappointed. Ratchet and Clank looks killer on the ps3 and im a big fan of that series.
The ps3 is going to last longer than the 360. The cell processor has 6 cores, which is intimidating to developers because dual cores are only just becoming popular among pc's. In a year or two it probably wont be uncommon to see pc's with quad or dare i say otcocore processors and by then the ps3 will be insanely more powerful than the 360.
The wii is pure gold though. Its the only next-gen i have. It cant even be compared to ps3 and 360 since it wasnt designed for power, it was designed for innovation and fun. Anyone can throw powerful parts in a case and sell it, but nintendo went and did something completely new and its freakin' sweet.

Good point Canada!! Kudos to you.. I would cream myself for a octocore PC, thats just f*cking orgasmic to think about.... Back on topic<---- after wiping myself off. I think the PS will go a lot further than the xbox, although I dont think the xbox will become obsolete but I think it will do similar to nintendo, and have to take the back seat. I think bothe of the systems are amazing but $ony doesnt screw around when it comes to this kind of stuff. It will be nice to see if this is still going on 10 years from now. PS forever baby!!

I hate how game devs are all signing contracts with microsoft now though. I hope they think that by the time their contract is out they will be able to handle the ass-kickery of the ps3. PS3 still has MGS, R&C, free online play... Free online play is a big deal. If the ps3 costs $150 more than the 360 ( i dont know actual prices, im just estimating) and xbox live costs $50 a year, in 3 years the ps3 will have paid for the difference, and you will now have a more usable system due to the cell processor.
really, peple dont buy systems because of a single game, they buy it for a series. Xbox has halo, which is now done, but sony has Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, ratchet and Clank (god i love them), and a ton of others. I will miss Fable 2 on the 360, but not a whole lot of people liked the first one, although i loved it.
Also, blu-ray is leading the hd-dvd/blu-ray battle right now. I hope blu-ray wins. 10gb more and only about $5 more a disc... definitely worth it to me. Blu-ray discs are more durable too, thats why they cost more. They had to develop a harder coating on the underside of the disc because the data spirals are much closer than the hd-dvd and a smaller scratch would cause reading errors. Now they have a coating that is very hard to scratch at all, unlike hd-dvd's which get scratched fairly easily from what i hear.

Well the way i see it right now the PS3 is failing, I know the spec's on the system are great and all, but it won't do it any good in the market if it can't sell any units. The games themselves are now beginning to jump platform to x360 for sales.

With the HD-DVD | Blu-Ray format war going on, The Blu-Ray is now finally taking the loses in the battle, Just this last week Disney & Pixar went exclusive to HD-DVD rethinking their former Blu-Ray Exclusive idea.

Sony has taken a major beating in the PS3 release, their units cost them more than they sell at retail price. Giving them a nice debt to consider. The new PS3 they got lined out thats going to replace the 60GB will now consists of a mere 40GB HDD this time around, and 2USB hooks instead of the 4, and further research tells that this new unit will have no Backwards Compatibility this time around.

In further research Sony has begun the PS4 development already, It's been in R&D for about a year now. The console is apparently a Online-Only system? God only knows where Sony gets their odd ideas from.

Hmm... No offense Guys , but remember I'm a NEUTRAL party in this Console War + I'm a critical Critic. LOL , Now Halo 3... I rate it 5/10 yes i have played it and i think it's not the best game ever... it's a basic shooter... I rate it 5/10

WHY?

Pros: Online is awesome ... Controls Awesome

Cons: Graphics CAN be better... Audio CAN be better...Storyline was horrible... (Pretty obvious what happens) ... TOO OVERHYPED... Not the "BEST" game ever. If u think this is the "greatest''...then i doubt u have tried CS 1.6 Not CSSource... 1.6 seems like a Basic Shooter , but it's mostly depends on your skill... AK-47 OR CV-47 is the skill weapon ... See if u can learn to play with it. And see how long u last with a PRO fighting against you. Btw... The PS3 line up was horrible I agree... Gundam = 2/10 , Resistance = 7/10 and so forth. Yes it sucks i agree... But like the 360 too it sucks ... remember when it came out? Not many great games , even Perfect Dark sucked. Sigh... Then the 360 got a WHOLE lineup of so many games from RARE and so forth. Now watch as Sony does well soon. Heavenly Sword = 6/10 , GTA4 (Both Consoles) , PLAYSTATION HOME , MGS4 : GUNS OF THE PATRIOT , Assassian's Creed (Both Consoles) Unreal Tournament ( Both Consoles ) , Ninja Gaidan Sigma (I think it's both consoles?) = 8/10... And Lastly The One system that not many people haven't been drawing attention to... THE WII! hehehe Now that's the "Unknown" system at the moment ... The only game that's worthy to get is the Super Smash Brawl. It made me Die inside when i saw Sonic in a Nintendo Game... *CRIES* because I'm a "retro" gamers Like probably all of you here. Lastly Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess was NOT a Well done game... It needs to be fixed up.

But Dathan you gotta remember this... 50 bucks .... it gets you a lot , The Xbox Live Engine (or Online system) is sooo much better then Any other console. When your getting Money from the system + the Live system...You need people to work on the Online and make it the best . Sony for example has FREE but compared to 360 it's not the best. Not well done at all... Remember I'm a Neutral Party , I don't blame one system and then Praise the Other. I hate them ALL equally LOL

i don't think many people will buy a ps3 without backwards compatability, unless they only want ps3 games. I have an xbox 360, and i can tell you right now, i have been annoyed since day one that i sold my xbox, cause i still to this day can't play 5 or 6 of my xbox games because they haven't put out the emulators for it.

Buy a ps3 without backwards compatability and buy a ps2, or buy a ps3 with backwards compatability...hmm which is smarter...lol

That idea for the ps4 is not so smart. thats going to be such an exclusive market. Yes there are alot of people with cable and dsl, but i think its only near 50 something %? I could be wrong there. If you take into account maybe 20% of that don't play video games, your market is so limited...
