Xbox Live Question

I just got a 360 Premium was going to get Elite but, my dads friends said go with the premium so i did.

How do you set up Xbox Live?

i posted this on another forum(no ones on it tho right now)

I need MSN or hotmail... to have xbox live? Because when i preess recover B1Gtime it says Email Addresses and password i put the Msn one it, just made one, and it says email address is not assiocatied with this gamertag. So then i made a new one and the steps i did are below.

I press join Xbox Live
Create New Gamer Tag
Then it comes up with 4 last digits of credit card,postal code,and ...
fill those out?, because it says to confirm your identity, you must enter the information when you joined Xbox live, (and i nvr did.)

what do i do?

Those options should only come up when you are trying to recover a gamertag from an original xbox..

Thats what i thought, i think the gamer tag was in use, idk, im trying to think of another one.

Thanks Canadian for the help those questions came up because the gamer tag was in use. I made one a few days after your post, just never got time to post back.
