Default How to upload hi res halo3 vids to pc with no camera or video capture card.

Instead of using hypercam, you can use the following method to download and convert the file off the site for higher quality.

THE VID NEEDS TO BE IN YOUR FILE SHARE!

1. Go to http://www.geevee.com and create an account. Then click on the upload beta grab tool ( the one with the ''beta'' written on it, its at the top of the screen you cant miss it.

2. Now find the link of your movie - it'll look somthing like http://www.geevee.com/index.php?p=viewvideo&v=12345. The important part is the 12345.

3. Go to http://www.geevee.com/video/45/12345.flv replacing the 45 with the last two digits, and the other part with the full number. It should ask you if you want to download the file. Say yes and download it to your computer.

4. Now get the VLC media player (it's free) so you can convert the .flv file into a more useable, common file type like .wmv

5. Once you have it installed, go to File>Quick Open File... and choose the .flv file you downloaded. It will start playing automatically. Use this stage to make sure you have the right video, then stop it and go to File>Wizard.

6. Select "Transcode/Save to file" and hit next.

7. Select "Existing playlist item" then choose your video and hit next.

8. Check both boxes. In the top drop-down, choose WMV 3, and in the bottom choose MP3. If you know what you're doing you can choose other formats, but this selection will work fine for most people.

9. On the next screen select ASF.

10. On the following screen, hit browse and choose where to save the file. MAKE SURE TO END THE FILENAME IN .WMV

11. Hit finish and it will begin turning your video into a .wmv file. Wait for the slider to move all the way across and disappear - when it's done, it's finished converting.

This method will preserve a lot more quality than using hypercam.
